Data Deletion

You can ask us to delete the data Growero holds about you at any time, whether or not you connected a social account. This page explains how to make that request, what we remove, and how long it takes.

If your only concern is the data we obtained from Facebook, Instagram or Threads, you do not have to delete your whole account. See Disconnecting a social account below.

Email hello@growero.io from the address you use to sign in to Growero, with the subject line Data deletion request.

Please tell us:

• Whether you want your entire account deleted, or only the data from a specific connected account such as a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account or a Threads profile
• The name of the Page or account, if you are asking about a specific one

We reply to confirm the request and give you a reference number. If the email does not come from the address on the account, we will ask you to verify ownership before we act, because deletion cannot be undone.

When you ask us to delete your account, we remove the data Growero stores about you, including:

• Your profile, sign-in details and workspace membership
• Access tokens for every connected social account, and the record of the connection itself
• The list of Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and Threads profiles we retrieved on your behalf
• Drafts, scheduled posts and published post records held in Growero
• Analytics we collected about your posts and accounts, such as reach, impressions and engagement counts
• Uploaded media and generated content stored in your account

Posts that were already published stay on Facebook, Instagram, Threads or any other network they were sent to. Growero cannot remove them once they are live. To take those down, delete them on the network itself.

You can remove what we obtained from one network without deleting the rest of your account. Removing Growero and asking for deletion are two separate steps, and they do different things.

Facebook and Instagram. On Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select Growero, and remove it. Instagram accounts connect through Facebook, so this covers them too. Meta tells us straight away, and we delete the access tokens and the connection we hold for you, so no further data reaches us.

To have the data we already collected deleted as well, send Growero a deletion request when Facebook offers it, or later from Removed apps and websites. We then delete the Page and Instagram account details and the analytics we collected for them, and Facebook shows you a confirmation code with a link where you can check the status of the request.

Threads. In the Threads app, go to Settings → Account → Website permissions and remove Growero. The same two steps apply: removing it deletes your Threads access token, and a deletion request also deletes the Threads analytics we collected and gives you a confirmation code.

By email. You can also email hello@growero.io and name the Page, Instagram account or Threads profile. We will delete the connection record, the stored token, the account details, and the analytics we collected for it. The rest of your Growero account is left alone.

We acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days and complete them within 30 days of verifying the request. Most are done sooner. If a request will take longer for a reason we can explain, we will tell you why and give you a revised date.

Encrypted backups are replaced on a rolling schedule and are purged within 90 days. We do not restore deleted data from a backup.

A small amount of information survives deletion because we are required to keep it or need it to protect the service:

• Invoices and payment records, which tax and accounting law requires us to retain
• Security and abuse logs, kept for a limited period and not linked to a usable profile
• Records of the deletion request itself, so we can show it was carried out

None of this includes data obtained from Facebook, Instagram or Threads. That is deleted in full.
